Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Advanced Composites)

Location: Pottsville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite manufacturing environment. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, qualifying temporary resident, refugee, or asylee.

hirify.global manufactures advanced lightweight composite materials, including carbon fiber, woven reinforcements, resins, prepregs, honeycombs, and engineered composite structures, with a focus on aerospace applications.

What you will do

• Create and develop processes and tools for fabricating composite honeycomb details, sub-assemblies, and assemblies.
• Coordinate tooling fabrication to hirify.global standards with internal and external suppliers.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on production and quality goals.
• Gather data and solve problems supporting DCR and MRR resolution.
• Revise and generate process sketches using AutoCAD.
• Develop and perform process trials, analyze results, and support manufacturing operations alongside production personnel.

Requirements

• Current study in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field.
• Eligibility to work in the United States under one of the specified citizenship, residency, temporary resident, refugee, or asylum statuses.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to define problems and interpret a variety of technical instructions.
• Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to cooperate, work, and communicate with coworkers, supervisors, subordinates, outside contacts, and customers.
• Ability to work directly with manufacturing personnel in a production environment.
• Compliance with safety, quality management, company policies, procedures, and the Code of Business Conduct.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.
• Solid PC and AutoCAD skills.
