Lead Network Engineer (AI)

Location: Onsite at 5325 Zuni St, Denver, Colorado, USA

Base salary: $111,074–$148,099 annually in Colorado.

What you will do

• Establish validation frameworks measuring solution readiness, scalability, resilience, and operational performance.
• Design and implement test cases and test plans across functional, performance, interoperability, and regression testing.
• Transform testing capabilities through scalable automation, API testing, server deployment, Linux administration, and scripting.
• Validate multi-vendor network solutions and optical transport technologies using carrier-grade test platforms.
• Troubleshoot defects to identify root causes and provide data-driven recommendations for technology roadmaps and product qualification.
• Lead projects and contribute as a subject matter expert in network testing and operational excellence.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5–8 years of experience in computer networking and 5–8 years of experience in testing and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in Ethernet, IP routing, MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, LLDP, Layer 2/3 services, Metro Ethernet, switching, and security.
• Extensive experience with Metro Ethernet architectures, 100G/400G optics, DWDM, CWDM, dark fiber, grey fiber, and fiber testing methodologies.
• Experience validating solutions across Cisco, Ciena, Adtran, ADVA, Nokia, Juniper, Axon, and other networking platforms.
• Proficiency with Linux, Bash, PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, network telemetry, and Ethernet and fiber performance testing.
• Experience with Spirent, Keysight, Calient, and other carrier-grade network test platforms.
• Experience leading projects, operating test labs, and serving as a subject matter expert; strong troubleshooting and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of Waterfall, Agile, and DevOps testing methodologies, plus Atlassian Jira experience.

Nice to have

• MS in a relevant engineering, computer science, or telecommunications field, or equivalent work experience.
• One or more certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CWNA, CWNP, CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP, CEH, OSCP, ACSA, or Microsoft Power, Azure, or Security certifications.
