AI Governance Lead Analyst

Location: Remote-first work environment; reliable cable or fiber-optic broadband with minimum speeds of 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload required for remote work.

What you will do

• Lead internal programs for AI governance, risk assessments, and the secure development and implementation of generative and agentic AI systems.
• Review customer requirements and regulatory obligations against current and planned AI usage, advising stakeholders on AI security and strategy decisions.
• Plan and manage technical improvement projects from requirements through deployment, meeting customer milestones and security, privacy, and ethical-use benchmarks.
• Create structures for managing AI agents and their activities, and identify and establish tools to automate AI governance.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into technical requirements and verifiable results, while responding to information requests from executives, proposal teams, delivery teams, and external parties.
• Support AIMS committee activities, audits, training programs, internal reviews, risk assessments, reporting, and continuous improvement of security and privacy practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of hands-on cybersecurity experience.
• Experience reviewing and advising on AI and machine-learning architectures, AI risks, trends, and threat environments, including AI governance and risk assessment aligned with ISO 42001, NIST, and the EU AI Act.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects or strategic initiatives involving data protection, infrastructure, security operations, and application security.
• Experience complying with security and privacy frameworks and industry best practices, including participation in internal and third-party audits.
• Experience architecting cybersecurity solutions, monitoring security events in a SOC environment, and working hands-on with software development teams as a developer, tester, or reviewer of critical milestones.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and gap analyses, creating improvement plans, tracking actions to closure, and developing and executing technical project-management plans.
• Experience communicating and coordinating with senior business leaders, subject-matter experts, technical leaders, and third-party consultants, while delivering results independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment; experience implementing and managing AI cybersecurity controls, AI threat modeling, security assessments, and/or secure development.
• Master’s degree or higher in information security, cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
• Deep knowledge of AI governance, security, and privacy frameworks, standards, industry best practices, cybersecurity protection and incident-response tools and techniques.
• Strong professional communication and interpersonal skills for technical, subject-matter-expert, and executive-level discussions.

Nice to have

• Information security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC Cloud Security, or AWS Security.
• Relevant AI training and certifications related to governance, risk analysis, and agentic security.
