Group Technology Risk Leader (AI)

What you will do

• Lead second-line oversight of technology risks across security, platform resilience, availability, reliability, and AI/model governance.
• Develop and monitor risk appetite frameworks, quantitative thresholds, and Key Risk Indicators, escalating exposures above defined appetite levels.
• Identify and escalate material technology exposures to senior management and Board-level governance bodies.
• Oversee security risk management covering vulnerability management, identity and access management, endpoint and network security, incident response, governance, controls, and recovery preparedness.
• Challenge operational and infrastructure controls covering production stability, change and release management, migrations, incident and problem management, capacity planning, and recovery.
• Develop technology risk policies, standards, methodologies, reporting, and dashboards aligned with NIST and relevant operational risk standards while engaging with technology, security, operations, regulators, and auditors.

Requirements

• Extensive relevant experience in technology, technology risk, operational resilience, or related control roles.
• Proven experience in senior technology leadership or a comparable second-line technology risk position in a regulated bank, payment services provider, fintech, or other financial institution.
• Deep understanding of technology risk and control frameworks covering cybersecurity, change management, production stability, migrations, asset lifecycle management, problem management, and physical infrastructure controls.
• Solid knowledge of NIST and other cybersecurity or operational risk frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, and model governance, including emerging risks and control requirements for advanced AI use cases.
• Demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives, auditors, and regulators on technology risk topics.
• Ability to operate effectively in matrixed, international organizations.
