Manager Field Operations - Public Sector

Location: Remote from North Carolina, USA; ability to travel as required; must be available 7/24 to support network emergencies.

Salary: $111,074–$148,099 annual base salary in North Carolina.

What you will do

• Lead service delivery for national networks, customers, and enterprise business products and services.
• Manage inside-plant and outside-plant technicians responsible for fiber-optic infrastructure and attached electronic network elements.
• Oversee installation, operations, maintenance, provisioning, preventive maintenance, change management, trouble response, and network restoration activities.
• Coordinate testing, activation, deployment, and use of network elements with Real Estate, CCM, Sales, Sales Engineering, contractors, Design, Test & Activations, customers, and NOC organizations.
• Manage employees, contractors, vendors, projects, budgets, performance objectives, training, and development.
• Analyze operational data, improve departmental processes, enforce standards, and support network reliability and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, typically with 5–7 years of related experience; 2+ years of manager-level leadership experience is preferred.
• Experience leading, supervising, coaching, and developing teams and executing short- and long-term objectives.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare and deliver presentations to executive-level audiences.
• Strong organizational, time-management, analytical, decision-making, and prioritization skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Ability to analyze and manage financial data and capital and expense budgets.
• Ability to build group commitment to company goals and objectives and work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to travel as required, a valid driver’s license, and availability 7/24 for network emergencies.
