TL;DR
Lead Software Engineer (Fintech): Architecting and implementing scalable, high-performance backend systems, APIs, databases, and deployment infrastructure with an accent on distributed computing, security, performance, and maintainability. Focus on solving production bottlenecks, refining CI/CD pipelines, strengthening test coverage, and mentoring engineers through complex technical challenges.
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; hybrid working arrangement. Malaysian citizens only.
Salary: Up to MYR 15,000 per month.

What you will do
- Lead by example through active coding, debugging, technical problem-solving, and mentoring engineers.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, high-performance systems, backend services, APIs, and database schemas.
- Optimize code for efficiency, maintainability, and performance while conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards.
- Solve complex challenges involving system architecture, performance tuning, security, and production bottlenecks.
- Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, cloud infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
- Ensure high-quality unit, integration, and end-to-end test coverage and drive relevant adoption of emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on software development experience across multiple domains.
- Strong coding proficiency in modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Expertise in scalable architectures, system design, and distributed computing.
- Deep understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and data structures.
- Strong knowledge of API development, security best practices, and performance tuning.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD and cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to analyze and debug performance bottlenecks in production systems.
- Passion for automation, efficiency, clean code, and maintainable solutions, with a strong problem-solving mindset focused on technical excellence.
- Malaysian citizenship is required.
