Lead Software Engineer, Backend

Location: Onsite in the Petaling Jaya, Malaysia office.

What you will do

• Design scalable, zero-downtime network traffic routing and analytics solutions for the public edge in a multi-cloud environment.
• Improve and shape system architectures with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to build scalable backend services supporting hirify.global's diverse products.
• Design, build, analyze, and troubleshoot large-scale systems.
• Debug and modify production software serving millions of users across Southeast Asia.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with a backend language: Go, Scala, Java, or C++.
• Solid software engineering and coding skills.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and message queuing systems.
• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL.
• Knowledge of software development best practices, including Git, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with TCP/IP, HTTP, and internet technologies.
• Experience deploying code in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
