Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack (AI)

Location: Fully onsite at the office in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of backend services and APIs for engineering teams across hirify.global.
• Automate cloud-resource provisioning, configuration, access, connectivity, and decommissioning with least-privilege access, auditability, and safe retry handling.
• Build reusable AI-assisted workflow components for context retrieval, tool integration, permission checks, and evaluation.
• Assess AI models and providers for reliability, latency, cost, safety, and portability.
• Define testing, observability, deployment, and rollback practices; participate in Cloud Infrastructure on-call, investigate incidents, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead technical discussions and code reviews, mentor engineers, and improve engineering standards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, including designing and operating production backend services in Go, Python, or a comparable language.
• Strong API design and failure-handling skills, including the ability to explain technical trade-offs.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools, identity and access management, and cloud networking.
• Experience with automated testing, Git, CI/CD, Docker, production deployments, and rollback.
• Experience building or integrating AI-assisted engineering workflows involving context management, tools, safeguards, and evaluation.
• Ability to compare AI models, verify outputs, and design suitable fallbacks for production workflows.
• Experience debugging production systems with logs, metrics, and alerts, and guiding engineers through reviews and delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience building self-service infrastructure platforms used by multiple engineering teams.
• Experience operating containerised services on Kubernetes.
