Developer Experience Engineer (Managed Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Design and maintain a Terraform provider for GPU clusters, node pools, networking, and storage using the Terraform Plugin Framework.
• Build a customer-facing CLI for authentication, cluster provisioning, scripting, credential management, and day-to-day operations.
• Develop generated and hand-written SDK client layers with support for pagination, retries, authentication, and typed errors.
• Partner with the control-plane team to review evolving API resource models, asynchronous operations, schemas, and error contracts.
• Own semantic versioning, compatibility guarantees, deprecation policies, registry releases, and migration paths across the provider, CLI, and SDKs.
• Create documentation, Terraform modules, examples, acceptance tests, and usage telemetry to support adoption and product quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience, including hands-on work with Terraform providers or comparable infrastructure-as-code plugins.
• Strong Go proficiency and direct experience with the Terraform Plugin Framework or SDK, including resource schemas, state management, drift detection, and acceptance testing.
• Experience generating or maintaining SDKs from OpenAPI, protobuf, or similar API definitions.
• Experience building CLIs or SDKs for scripting and automation, including secure authentication, credential handling, versioning, and deprecation management.
• Working knowledge of Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure primitives such as clusters, node pools, networking, and storage.
• Ability to work with unstable upstream APIs and negotiate API contracts with platform engineering teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Pulumi or Crossplane.
• Experience with GPU cloud or machine learning infrastructure.
• Experience negotiating API contracts with an upstream backend team.
