Forecast Analyst, Clinical Trial Payments & Cost Forecasting (Clinical Trials)

Base pay: $53,000.00–$132,600.00 annually.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain forecasting assumptions for assigned clinical trials.
• Build, manage, and analyze investigator payment and study cost forecasts throughout the clinical trial lifecycle.
• Validate forecasts against actual payment and operational data, identify variances, and recommend adjustments.
• Prepare, review, distribute, and analyze forecast and ad hoc reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external clients, and technology teams on forecasting requirements, reporting, and system implementation.
• Support forecasting methodology improvements, testing, standardization, system enhancements, and operational excellence initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, or clinical trial operations.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and analyzing financial forecasts.
• Experience working with large datasets and performing data validation and reconciliation.
• Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work independently, collaborate cross-functionally, and adapt to changing business needs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new technologies, reporting tools, and forecasting systems.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of clinical trial processes, including investigator contracts, site payments, and essential site documentation.
• Experience with financial forecasting, accrual reporting, and budget analysis.
• Experience with MicroStrategy, Spotfire, Business Objects, or similar business intelligence and reporting platforms.
