Life Sciences Consulting Actuary (Pharmaceutical)

Location: Hybrid role based out of the hirify.global office in Tampa, Florida; remote work may be considered. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration support or sponsorship.

Compensation: $147,400–$279,680 overall; $169,510–$279,680 for candidates residing in Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York City, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia; $147,400–$243,200 for all other locations.

What you will do

• Lead pharmacy economic modeling to evaluate drug pricing and contracting strategies.
• Design and implement claims-based research using large medical and pharmacy databases to analyze utilization, patient cost sharing, total cost of care, and patient journeys.
• Manage client communications, delegate work to analysts, and coordinate projects to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to proposal development and new business development.
• Serve as the primary subject matter expert, translating pharmacy data into business strategies and regulatory filings.
• Monitor emerging trends and regulatory changes affecting clients.

Requirements

• ASA credential or higher and MAAA membership in good standing.
• 7+ years of health actuarial experience, including at least 4 years focused on pharmacy benefits, drug pricing, or PBM economics.
• Experience working with medical and pharmacy claims data.
• Experience building and using actuarial models.
• Technical knowledge of Excel and SQL.
• Exposure to AI support tools such as Visual Studio Code or Microsoft Copilot.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future immigration support or sponsorship from hirify.global.
