Senior Software Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Deliver complex software and integration solutions through design, planning, development, deployment, and support.
• Provide tactical and strategic technical leadership with visibility among senior IT and business stakeholders.
• Represent the team, priorities, and architectures in cross-team discussions and partner with PMs and POs on product vision and priorities.
• Establish software engineering practices covering testing, modularity, scalability, observability, security, and integration.
• Design and develop data engineering, data integration, and data management practices and tools.
• Mentor software engineers and collaborate with technical teams to deliver solutions and evolve technology standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with high proficiency in programming fundamentals.
• 7–10 years of proven experience as a software developer, including a strong portfolio of complex software and integration solutions.
• Proficiency with standard software development frameworks, design patterns, and software engineering best practices for code quality, security, maintainability, and scalability.
• Experience implementing security best practices in software engineering.
• Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
• Proficiency with Microsoft technologies including Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and changing business requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Experience monitoring and logging application performance in cloud environments.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployments.
