Engineer Sr Lead, Software (Azure)

What you will do

• Design and build cloud-native applications, scalable microservices, secure REST APIs, and event-driven services using Java, Spring Boot, Python, and FastAPI.
• Lead technical design, architectural guidance, reusable frameworks, engineering standards, and modernization or migration initiatives.
• Build and operate Azure-native platforms, secure network architectures, Infrastructure as Code with Terraform/TFE, and cloud governance practices.
• Manage enterprise API lifecycle and governance, including versioning, throttling, quotas, rate limiting, caching, and policy enforcement.
• Implement observability, reliability, disaster recovery, geo-redundancy, SLOs, SLIs, performance optimization, and high availability.
• Develop data pipelines, identity and security controls, CI/CD automation, testing and quality gates, while mentoring teams and collaborating with product, security, and architecture stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot, Python and FastAPI, with proven experience building microservices, REST APIs, and integration services.
• Hands-on Azure cloud-native architecture experience, including Terraform/TFE, AKS, Container Apps, and containerized workloads.
• Strong Azure API Management and API governance knowledge.
• Experience with observability, distributed tracing, monitoring, Cosmos DB, and cloud-native storage.
• Strong networking knowledge covering VNets, subnets, private endpoints, DNS, and firewalls, plus experience with disaster recovery, geo-redundancy, and high availability.
• Proficiency with GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates.
• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, Microsoft Entra ID, identity providers, RBAC, secrets, and certificate management.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with Agile/Scrum experience.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Front-end experience with React, Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of DDD, event-driven architecture, CQRS, and SRE practices.
