Software Engineer Senior Lead (Azure)

What you will do

• Design and build cloud-native applications, scalable microservices, secure REST APIs, and event-driven services using Java, Spring Boot, Python, and FastAPI.
• Lead technical design, architectural guidance, reusable frameworks, engineering standards, and modernization initiatives for large-scale enterprise platforms.
• Build and operate Azure-native solutions, secure network architectures, infrastructure as code with Terraform/TFE, and cloud governance practices.
• Design and manage enterprise APIs through Azure API Management, including versioning, throttling, quotas, caching, and policy enforcement.
• Implement observability, reliability, disaster recovery, high availability, data pipelines, replication, backup, and retention strategies.
• Lead CI/CD, automated testing, security scanning, deployment automation, mentoring, and software engineering excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of enterprise software engineering experience.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot, Python and FastAPI.
• Experience building microservices, REST APIs, integration services, Azure cloud-native architectures, Terraform/TFE, AKS, Container Apps, and containerized workloads.
• Strong knowledge of Azure API Management and API governance, observability, distributed tracing, monitoring, GitHub, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD.
• Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, Microsoft Entra ID, identity providers, Cosmos DB, cloud-native storage, VNets, subnets, private endpoints, DNS, and firewalls.
• Experience with disaster recovery, geo-redundancy, high availability, and enterprise data platforms.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with Agile/Scrum experience.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in financial services, banking, payments, fintech, or other regulated industries.
• Front-end experience with React, Vue.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, ADLS, and Databricks.
• Knowledge of DDD, event-driven architecture, CQRS, and SRE practices.
