Sr. Full Stack Java Developer - AI Assisted Development

Location: Farmington Hills, Michigan or Lansing, Michigan — hybrid, with remote and in-person work. Must be local to Michigan for on-site interviews and on-site work requirements.

What you will do

• Build and deliver production-ready full-stack applications and RESTful microservices.
• Use AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot for code generation, debugging, optimization, and improved delivery efficiency.
• Write, refine, and iterate prompts to guide AI tools during development tasks.
• Validate AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and security.
• Analyze and improve JVM and application performance through profiling.
• Apply strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, and clear technical communication.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants for code generation, debugging, and optimization.
• Experience writing, refining, and iterating prompts for AI-assisted development.
• Experience validating AI-generated code for accuracy, performance, and security.
• Strong proficiency in Core Java, Java EE, RESTful microservices, Jersey, SQL, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database.
• Experience with Angular, TypeScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS.
• Deep understanding of the JVM and performance profiling.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical reasoning, critical thinking, solution-oriented thinking, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Advanced usage of GitHub Copilot or other AI-based development tools and prompt engineering expertise.
• Experience with CI/CD processes and DevOps methodologies.
• Unix or shell scripting experience.
• Experience with Docker, Memcache or Redis, and SAML.
