Software Test Engineer Intern

Location: Remote; Pittsburgh, PA, US. U.S. citizenship is required, and applicants must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary: USD $29.00 per year.

What you will do

• Test software and systems products in UNIX, Linux, and/or Windows workstation environments.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and improve software services and platforms within cross-functional agile teams.
• Develop and participate in QA and test approaches, methodologies, and processes.
• Implement, execute, troubleshoot, and improve automated tests, including backend and UI testing.
• Integrate with a test team, update system information, populate repositories with targeted data, and document data processes.
• Follow company security and safety procedures while supporting defense and national security missions.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline; sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and undergo a U.S. Government security investigation.
• Knowledge of test methodologies, test-plan writing, test-case creation, and debugging.
• Knowledge of test automation using Playwright, Pytest, Selenium, TestComplete, Cucumber, Apache JMeter, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, HTML, CSS, and Ansible; Spring Boot and React/Redux; Gradle, NodeJS, RHOSP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience or familiarity with server frameworks, the DOM, Tomcat, IDEs such as VSCode or IntelliJ, Microsoft Office, Windows 10/11, and Linux.
• Related coursework includes Data Structures, Algorithms & Complexity, Object-Oriented Programming in Java, Database Management Systems, Advanced Programming, Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, and Software Engineering.

Nice to have

• Department of Defense Secret security clearance at the time of hire is preferred.
