Mid-Career Software Engineer (Radar)

Location: Full-time onsite in El Segundo (Los Angeles), California, United States. U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $150,000–$240,000 annual base compensation, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop R&D and production software for next-generation radar products.
• Support software integration with mostly commercial off-the-shelf hardware.
• Support deployed software capabilities used by U.S. and international customers.
• Collaborate across multiple product capabilities and expand engineering contributions across product families.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional object-oriented software development experience.
• Extensive or advanced Python experience.
• Experience with Agile lifecycle processes, including Scrum, Continuous Integration, and Test-Driven Development.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate on small teams.
• Solid understanding and extensive experience developing software with Linux.
• U.S. Person status, due to access requirements for U.S.-only data systems.

Nice to have

• Experience developing ground or airborne sensors, including radars, EO/IR, or EW systems.
• Experience with radar modes and algorithms, signal processing, target detection, and tracking.
• Current or previous DoD security clearance.
• Experience with software and hardware networks, CUDA, Software-Defined Radios, advanced time synchronization, near-real-time embedded software, and git.
• Experience with containers, cloud computing, virtualization, BIOS, Secure Boot, TPM, Network Boot, PXE, and hardware/software drive encryption.
• Experience with 2D and 3D visualization, DoD system and software architectures, messaging standards, and modeling and simulation testbeds.
• Experience with production-level software development and deployment, DevOps, DevSecOps, CI/CD, full lifecycle development of high-TRL systems, and HW/SW integration, testing, and verification.
• Experience with additional languages such as C++, Rust, NodeJS, Java, or Go.
