Senior Infrastructure & Platform Engineer (Elastic)

Location: Remote from Virginia, United States, with domestic and international travel and onsite customer engagements.

Salary: $130,000–$175,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise software platforms in customer environments.
• Implement Elastic Stack environments, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, Fleet, and Elastic Security.
• Deploy cybersecurity, compliance automation, observability, search, analytics, and infrastructure platforms across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, classified, and disconnected environments.
• Lead customer-facing onsite installations, technical workshops, discovery sessions, assessments, deployment planning, training, and knowledge transfer.
• Configure integrations, ingestion pipelines, dashboards, automation workflows, reporting, and operational tooling while troubleshooting infrastructure, networking, operating system, and application issues.
• Develop automation, provide scalability and security recommendations, lead technical reviews, collaborate with customer stakeholders, and maintain deployment documentation, diagrams, runbooks, and knowledge-base content.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance and a U.S. Passport are required.
• Strong experience administering Linux operating systems and Windows Server environments.
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting enterprise software platforms and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems and production enterprise applications.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, and enterprise network architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash, Beats, and Fleet, or comparable enterprise platforms.
• Strong customer-facing consulting and Professional Services experience.
• Experience deploying software in on-premises, cloud, GovCloud, hybrid, classified, or disconnected environments.
• Experience with virtualization and container platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar technologies.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to administrators, engineers, and executive stakeholders and lead customer workshops, training sessions, and deployment engagements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with cybersecurity compliance, system hardening, compliance automation, configuration management, cybersecurity operations, continuous monitoring, and enterprise security tools.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, NIST frameworks, and enterprise security hardening methodologies.
• Experience in federal civilian, DoD, Intelligence Community, tactical, air-gapped, or classified environments, including customer ATO, RMF, or security readiness initiatives.
• Experience integrating platforms with Splunk, Elastic Security, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Sentinel, ServiceNow, eMASS, and Nessus or ACAS.
• Preferred certifications include Elastic Certified Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CKA, RHCSA, and Cisco CCNA.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, GovCloud, hybrid cloud architectures, Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized workloads.
• Experience conducting infrastructure assessments, platform health reviews, and operational readiness evaluations.
• Familiarity with SteelCloud ConfigOS or similar compliance automation and security posture platforms.
• Experience supporting software deployments in restricted, disconnected, or mission-critical operational environments.
