Senior Solutions Architect (dbt)

Salary: $219,463.15–$274,329.23 USD annually

What you will do

• Lead technical discovery with enterprise customers, connecting technical requirements to business outcomes and measurable success criteria.
• Design enterprise-grade data transformation and analytics architectures using dbt.
• Partner with Sales to communicate the technical and business value of the dbt platform and lead trials and proof-of-value engagements.
• Guide customers through architecture, security, governance, deployment, adoption, and expansion across the customer lifecycle.
• Build trusted relationships with data practitioners, data leaders, executive stakeholders, technology partners, and consulting partners.
• Share customer insights, reusable best practices, technical expertise, and thought leadership with Product, Engineering, the Field Engineering organization, and the dbt community.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, consulting, or a similar customer-facing technical role within data, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical foundation in SQL, data transformation, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud data warehouse, lakehouse, and analytics architectures.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to establish credibility and build trusted relationships with stakeholders from data practitioners to senior executives.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment and collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or analytics engineering.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or other modern cloud data platforms.
• Experience with dimensional modeling, Kimball, Data Vault, or 3NF methodologies.
• Experience with enterprise data integration or ETL platforms such as Informatica, Boomi, or Talend.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise technical evaluations, migrations, or transformation initiatives.
