What you will do
- Design and implement scalable modern data platforms using cloud technologies such as Databricks and Microsoft Fabric.
- Define target architectures, platform standards, and strategic roadmaps aligned with business and data transformation objectives.
- Assess existing data architectures, identify improvement areas, and propose migration options, including on-premises-to-cloud transitions.
- Translate business and analytics requirements into scalable, future-proof data architectures in collaboration with data experts and client stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for clients and internal teams.
- Support pre-sales activities, lead workshops, draft proposals, and share knowledge.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience, including 3+ years as a data architect; consulting experience is preferred.
- Proven expertise in data engineering and cloud technologies and concepts, including lakehouse, warehouse, ETL/ELT, orchestration, CI/CD, SQL, Delta Lake, and OneLake.
- Ability to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of modern data architectures, data modeling, and integration patterns.
- Experience with data platform migrations, such as on-premises-to-cloud migrations.
- Knowledge of governance, security, data management, and networking principles.
- Strong stakeholder management, workshop facilitation, and consulting skills.
- Proficient in English and Dutch or French.
