Location: Remote; work from anywhere

hirify.global is a remote technology, gaming, and content company building products and content for the global chess community.

What you will do

  • Translate user interfaces for hirify.global Web and Mobile, ChessKid, Dr. Wolf, and other apps.
  • Translate marketing campaigns, Coach analysis, Game Review, courses, and related chess content.
  • Translate and edit graphical assets.
  • Review previously submitted translations and ensure high quality.

Requirements

  • Professional experience translating complex texts between English and Japanese.
  • Native or near-native fluency in both English and Japanese.
  • Strong linguistic knowledge, including language theory and structure.
  • Demonstrated chess expertise and a deep understanding of chess terminology.
  • Excellent communication skills, high responsiveness, and effective collaboration on platforms such as Slack.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines, including occasional 24–48-hour turnaround times and work on weekends or holidays.

Nice to have

  • Basic graphic editing skills.
