Mobile QA Engineer (iOS)

What you will do

• Own the iOS testing process from requirements review and risk identification through test design, execution, defect investigation, and release validation.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, end-to-end, and integration testing across iOS screen sizes, device families, and versions.
• Build and maintain automated mobile tests, expand regression coverage, and migrate the existing automation framework to Swift-based automation.
• Test REST APIs, JSON responses, integrations, real-time data flows, and network traffic using Charles Proxy or Proxyman; investigate issues through device logs and debugging tools.
• Collaborate with the Android team on cross-platform verification and maintain automated tests in CI/CD pipelines.
• Use AI-assisted tools for test design, automation development, code reviews, and debugging.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience testing native mobile applications, with a focus on iOS. Understanding of platform-specific features, guidelines, and limitations, including Apple Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining mobile automated tests with Appium, XCUITest, and/or Espresso; ability to design a scalable automation framework from scratch using Page Object or Screenplay patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one automation language: Kotlin, Java, Swift, Python, or TypeScript; ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable test code.
• Understanding of functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing, plus equivalence partitioning, boundary value analysis, decision tables, and pairwise testing.
• Ability to write clear test cases, checklists, and bug reports.
• Experience testing REST APIs and JSON; familiarity with Postman, Swagger, and API automation tools such as REST Assured, Retrofit, or requests.
• Basic understanding of WebSockets and real-time data testing.
• Experience with Charles Proxy, Proxyman, or Fiddler for traffic interception and mocking, and with Xcode Console, Android Studio Logcat, and adb for log inspection.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Bitrise.
• Willingness to use AI-assisted tools in everyday engineering workflows.
• English at B1 level or above and Russian at C2 level.

Nice to have

• Experience writing mobile automated tests in Swift with XCUITest.
• Experience migrating legacy automation frameworks or transitioning between programming languages and testing technologies.
• Experience testing financial applications, trading platforms, or products where data accuracy and reliability are critical.
