Senior EH&S Specialist (Biotech)

Location: Onsite in El Segundo, California, United States.

Salary: $115,260–$149,160 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus, stock-based long-term incentives, paid time off, and benefits.

What you will do

• Oversee TCF03 physical-security programs, including access control, surveillance, key and lock management, security procedures, equipment, and service providers.
• Develop, maintain, and administer the site Emergency Response Team program and Emergency Response Plan, including organization, training, equipment, exercises, and readiness assessments.
• Prepare and update EH&S SOPs, coordinate procedure and equipment upgrades, conduct audits, and support compliance with applicable EH&S acts and regulations.
• Conduct worksite tours, communicate safety observations and procedural changes, accompany regulatory inspectors, and contribute to EH&S meetings and reports.
• Provide EH&S orientation and specialized safety and environmental training for employees and contractors.
• Manage accident and incident investigations, corrective actions, safety equipment supplies, preventative maintenance, fit checks, safety campaigns, emergency-preparedness activities, and environmental sustainability initiatives.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a relevant industry and a B.S. degree.
• Alternatively, 3+ years of post-secondary education with a Science/Technology Diploma or equivalent expertise may be considered.
• Relevant experience covering multiple areas such as EHS compliance, physical security, emergency response, life-safety systems, service-provider management, incident investigation, or regulated-site operations.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NRC, and DOT requirements.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, identify potential exposures, and develop corrective and preventive actions.
• Eligibility for Occupational Health and Safety or Modern Safety Management Certification.
• Current standard first aid certification.
