Lead Power System Engineer (NERC Modeling)

Location: Remote in the US or Canada; occasional travel may be required, 10% or less.

What you will do

• Lead a team of power system engineers performing NERC technical studies and power grid modeling for clients.
• Manage project completion, quality, budgets, schedules, study scopes, and client deliverables.
• Perform advanced and specialized power system studies using industry-standard analysis platforms.
• Build engineering capabilities through mentoring, direct-report development, and organizational collaboration.
• Lead process improvement initiatives focused on team capacity, quality, and timely delivery.
• Support business development through RFP responses and client statements of work.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience beyond degree requirements.
• Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering with a power systems emphasis.
• Proficiency in at least one power system analysis platform: PSSE, PSCAD, TSAT, or PSLF.
• Wide-ranging experience with ERCOT modeling requirements and procedures.
• Proven knowledge of power system and IBR modeling.
• Ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships as a team player.
• Strong written and verbal organizational and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical matters.
