Program Manager (Strategic Systems)

Location: Onsite in Pueblo and Penrose, Colorado, or hybrid for highly qualified candidates. Travel up to 30% to customer sites, industry conferences, and program reviews.

Base salary: $170,000–$200,000 USD annually, plus incentive plan eligibility and potential lump-sum bonus upon hire.

What you will do

• Lead and execute a portfolio of 3–10 projects involving solid rocket motors, chemicals, and explosives.
• Develop coordinated plans covering scope, schedules, cost estimates, risks, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate communication between internal teams, clients, government agencies, and chief or lead engineers.
• Monitor program budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage scope changes and maintain alignment with program goals and customer expectations.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in project or supply chain management and operations.
• Experience managing defense or government projects.
• Experience using project management software to manage schedules and budgets.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
• Must meet U.S. explosives licensing, background investigation, drug-free workplace, and ITAR/EAR eligibility requirements.
