Scientist, Pharmacokinetics (Onsite)

Location: West Point, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite. Domestic relocation is listed as available. Travel requirements: 10%.

Salary: $87,300–$137,400 annually, plus potential annual bonus and long-term incentive.

What you will do

• Develop, validate, execute, and troubleshoot quantitative bioanalytical methods using LC-MS/MS, ligand binding assays, and hybrid LC-MS/LBA workflows.
• Generate, analyze, and deliver bioanalytical data for pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic, and in vitro studies of small- and large-molecule therapeutics.
• Perform manual and automated sample preparation, including protein precipitation, solid-phase extraction, and immunocapture or affinity purification for biological matrices.
• Operate and troubleshoot robotics and automated systems supporting high-throughput workflows.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with safety requirements, internal SOPs, regulatory guidelines, GLPs, and GMP documentation practices.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary scientific teams and communicate scientific data clearly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant laboratory experience, or an MS degree with 1–2 years of relevant experience in analytical chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, pharmacology, biomedical science, chemical engineering, or a related field.
• Experience quantifying large molecules or biologics using ligand binding assays.
• Effective collaboration and interpersonal skills within multidisciplinary scientific teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present scientific data clearly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and standard laboratory software.
• Knowledge of bioanalysis, biochemistry, biotherapeutics, cell culture techniques, immunoassays, laboratory instrumentation, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmacology, small molecules, liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry, laboratory safety, ethical compliance, and laboratory management.

Nice to have

• Basic understanding of statistical analysis and pharmacokinetic principles.
• Experience with liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry for quantitative analysis of small molecules or peptides in biological matrices.
