Associate Scientist, Vaccines

Location: On premise in Pearl River, New York, United States. Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the United States; U.S. work visa sponsorship is not available. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility.

Salary: $60,200–$100,400 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Perform routine sample testing for early-phase vaccine process development under direct supervision.
• Prepare samples, set up and operate instruments, and analyze testing data.
• Document experiments, analyze results, and report findings in an electronic laboratory notebook according to hirify.global requirements.
• Draft technical reports with guidance and plan daily work to complete assigned experiments.
• Support laboratory maintenance, including buffer preparation, reagent formulation, equipment maintenance, and waste management.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related discipline, with 0–2 years of related work experience.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Motivation, attention to detail, and good laboratory skills.
• Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and productivity.
• Curiosity about how AI tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.
• Permanent U.S. work authorization and eligibility to work for any U.S. employer.

Nice to have

• Technical proficiency in liquid chromatography, including HPLC/UPLC, and spectroscopy, including UV/VIS and fluorescence.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant scientific software.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot and ChatGPT.
