Test Engineer - Manual 4G/5G - Tieto Tech Consulting (m/f/d)

What you will do

• Develop test operation plans and strategies based on project requirements.
• Prepare and configure test setups for 5G systems.
• Execute manual end-to-end testing of newly developed 5G L1/L2 baseband functionality.
• Analyze and evaluate test results and report software issues.
• Debug technical problems and support feature teams in verifying solution quality.

Requirements

• General knowledge of 5G network architecture and features, including carrier aggregation, handover, DSS, and ENDC.
• Understanding of the importance of testing during software development.
• Basic understanding of IP networks.
• User experience with Linux OS.
• Good analytical thinking.
• Good written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

• Practical knowledge of RF equipment, such as tunable attenuators and signal analyzers.
• Experience with telco E2E testing using real UEs or simulators and with building 5G E2E test environments.
• Experience with Viavi TM500, QXDM, or Wireshark.
• Knowledge of software testing concepts; ISTQB certification is an advantage.
• Test-environment troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
• Experience with agile ways of working.
