EADSIM MBSE Intern (Summer 2027)

Location: Onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. The internship lasts approximately 3 months during summer 2027; start and end dates are negotiable based on spring and fall school schedules. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must provide their own housing.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, and update SysML-based system models in Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Apply MBSE practices to requirements decomposition and traceability, functional and logical architecture, and system architecture development.
• Identify and analyze interfaces and support verification and validation planning.
• Collaborate with software engineers to keep models aligned with system intent and engineering priorities.
• Improve or reshape engineering workflows when model-based approaches provide clear benefits.
• Communicate complex technical concepts through diagrams, views, and model-based products.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in an accredited college or university with at least two years completed toward a degree in Systems Engineering or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship due to classified work and facility access restrictions.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of developing system models using Cameo Systems Modeler.
• Working knowledge of SysML, including Block Definition Diagrams, Internal Block Diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and requirements diagrams.
• Understanding of requirements management, system decomposition and architecture, interfaces and system boundaries, and system lifecycle considerations.
• Ability to apply engineering concepts in a practical, project-driven environment.
• Familiarity with digital engineering concepts and practices.
• Experience using GitLab.
