Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure): Building secure DevOps practices, GitHub Actions pipelines, cloud infrastructure, monitoring, and database automation in an Azure-hosted environment with an accent on CI/CD security, infrastructure as code, and secure software delivery. Focus on designing custom automation flows, implementing cybersecurity controls across the SSDLC, configuring Azure SQL and MongoDB, and improving reliability through monitoring and disaster recovery planning.
Location: Bulgaria, Georgia, Poland, Romania, or Uzbekistan. In-office, hybrid, or remote flexibility is available depending on location and contract type.

What you will do
- Partner with Development, DevSecOps, Cybersecurity, database, and Agile engineering teams to implement Microsoft DevOps best practices in an Azure-hosted environment.
- Design and implement secure collaboration, source control, infrastructure, compliance, CI, testing, delivery, monitoring, and feedback practices, with a strong focus on database infrastructure and automation.
- Manage GitHub Actions pipelines, including custom flows and actions, and support Azure DevOps projects and CI/CD automation frameworks.
- Configure and support Azure SQL, MongoDB Atlas, and future PostgreSQL environments according to Microsoft best practices.
- Implement secure coding and application design processes, support the Secure Systems Development Lifecycle, and translate SDLC phases into Agile development automation.
- Monitor systems, resolve performance bottlenecks, maintain design and troubleshooting documentation, train internal teams, and plan disaster recovery and Azure data-storage security measures.
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in DevOps engineering and software engineering.
- Experience building and operating secure CI/CD pipelines, mainly with GitHub Actions and flows, and using ALM tools to automate security-requirement validation.
- Programming experience in one or more of Java, .NET, Terraform, Python, Visual Basic, PowerShell, Bash, C++, C#, Django, JavaScript, YAML, HTML, or CSS.
- Hands-on experience with containerization, orchestration, and cloud infrastructure management, including infrastructure as code, immutable infrastructure, or configuration as code.
- Experience with Azure SQL and MongoDB.
- Experience with Kubernetes, including AKS, and Linux.
- Expertise in Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Azure Redis, Key Vaults, and Azure Storage.
- Understanding of network architectures and services, including VPN, routing, firewalls, and NSGs.
- Knowledge of source-code management concepts and proficiency with Git for version control.
Nice to have
- Experience creating CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Azure certifications such as Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
