DevSecOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: London, UK — hybrid, with 1 day per week onsite on Tuesdays and 7 company anchor weeks per year. Applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work in the UK.

What you will do

• Build, secure, maintain, and improve the Azure cloud platform.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment speed, reliability, and automation.
• Automate and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Manage security vulnerabilities, conduct security reviews and penetration testing, and remediate findings.
• Monitor cloud environments, detect threats, investigate incidents, and improve security controls.
• Support production systems, troubleshoot with logs, metrics, and alerts, and collaborate with developers on secure software delivery.

Requirements

• Strong Azure cloud experience, including networking, compute, Entra ID, Key Vault, identity, access, and data protection.
• Experience improving DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Terraform or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Experience integrating security into development, implementing automated security checks, and managing and remediating vulnerabilities.
• Experience conducting security reviews and penetration testing.
• Experience with cloud security monitoring and threat detection, including investigating incidents and improving security controls.
• Experience with observability and production support, including troubleshooting logs, metrics, and alerts and improving incident response.
• Scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience collaborating with developers to improve workflows, automate manual tasks, and support secure software delivery.

Nice to have

• Docker, container security, and dependency scanning experience.
• Knowledge of OWASP, threat modelling, SAST/DAST, and secrets scanning.
• Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, Vanta, or similar compliance tools.
• Experience with security tools such as Aikido.
• Experience with AI-assisted automation, security remediation, or AI-related security risks.
• Experience improving build performance, deployment recovery, and developer environments.
