CAD Technician (Marine)

Location: Vila Nova de Cerveira, Portugal

Salary: €16,000–€19,500 gross per year, paid in 14 monthly payments; annual performance bonus of up to 5%.

What you will do

• Create and maintain 3D CAD models throughout product development, from concept and styling through production launch and ongoing product support.
• Create and revise engineering documentation for new and existing products using Siemens NX and Teamcenter.
• Develop manufacturing documentation, parts documentation, owner’s manuals, customer service materials, and related technical publications.
• Review documentation for accuracy, compliance with engineering requirements, and adherence to established drawing standards.
• Gather and incorporate as-built information and maintain engineering models to reflect product configurations.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams, while supporting continuous improvement and problem-solving activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of experience using Siemens NX for drafting and technical documentation.
• Experience creating engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience with PLM systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• CAD drafting, engineering drawing interpretation, 3D solid and surface modelling, technical writing, and product data management skills.
• Attention to detail, time management, organization, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, continuous improvement, and the ability to follow established standards and procedures.

Nice to have

• Associate Degree in CAD Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in marine product design.
• Siemens Teamcenter experience.
• Experience within the marine industry.
• Experience developing owner’s manuals or technical publications.
• Knowledge of manufacturing documentation and engineering change processes.
• Passion for the recreational marine industry and boating experience.
