Senior Microservices Developer (Java/Spring Boot)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States; hybrid work with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote; must be able to report to the local office.

What you will do

• Design and implement microservices, REST and GraphQL APIs, and WebSocket solutions using Spring Boot.
• Deploy and manage microservices on Azure using AKS, API Management, Functions, Cosmos DB, SQL Database, and monitoring tools.
• Optimize cloud resources for scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement monitoring with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Azure tools.
• Optimize APIs, database queries, and WebSocket traffic for high performance and resiliency.
• Apply Test-Driven Development with unit, integration, and functional testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Software Developer, Java Developer, or in a related occupation.
• At least 3 years of experience with Java software development and Spring Boot for microservices.
• At least 3 years of experience developing RESTful APIs.
• At least 3 years of experience with Test-Driven Development using tools such as JUnit and Mockito, plus familiarity with 12-factor microservice development patterns.
• At least 3 years of experience with CI/CD tools in the Azure ecosystem and version control systems including Git and Bitbucket.
• At least 3 years of experience with SQL.
