Analyst or Associate, AI Engineer (Renewable Energy)

Location: New York, NY; based in hirify.global's New York office

Expected annual base salary: $100,000–$130,000, depending on title and experience

hirify.global owns and operates renewable energy projects throughout the United States, with approximately 13 gigawatts of contracted capacity across more than 85 projects in 24 states.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy AI applications from prototype through production for commercial and technical teams.
• Partner with business teams to understand workflows, identify high-value problems, prioritize solutions, and make build-versus-buy decisions.
• Drive adoption through change management, training, documentation, and iterative improvement.
• Clean, structure, and manage data across databases, data warehouses, internal systems, vendor platforms, and APIs.
• Build and maintain Azure data pipelines, databases, storage, application hosting, deployment infrastructure, and rigorous testing and evaluation.
• Develop reliable language-model applications, automated workflows, forecasting models, predictive models, and reusable institutional knowledge.

Requirements

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, engineering, data science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related quantitative field.
• Two or more years of software development experience, including building an AI-enabled application from prototype through production.
• Experience deploying a machine learning model to production, including related data cleaning and pipeline work.
• Full-stack experience owning products across both front end and back end.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, with hands-on experience using large language models, model APIs, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, including databases, data warehouses, data pipelines, and production deployment.
• Strong commercial judgment, including learning unfamiliar domains quickly, engaging credibly with business stakeholders, and prioritizing by business value.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfort driving change with non-technical users, and comfort with ambiguity, shifting priorities, and a fast pace.

Nice to have

• Experience and commercial context in renewable energy, utilities, energy markets, or EPC construction is highly preferred.
