SAP ABAP Developer

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain custom ABAP solutions in the SAP ECC environment.
• Develop reports, enhancements, interfaces, conversions, forms, workflows, and service wrappers around standard BAPIs.
• Design and maintain SAP ERP integrations with external applications using BAPIs, RFC-enabled function modules, and SOAP Web Services.
• Build and maintain inbound and outbound ABAP interfaces and support integration and process automation scenarios.
• Debug, troubleshoot, analyze performance, and optimize existing ABAP developments and interfaces.
• Collaborate with SAP functional consultants and integration teams while following SAP development, transport, coding, and documentation standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience, preferably in an SAP ECC environment.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP development and standard SAP development concepts.
• Practical experience with BAPIs, RFC-enabled function modules, and SOAP Web Services.
• Experience developing SAP interfaces and integrations with external systems.
• Understanding of data structures, debugging, error handling, and ABAP performance optimization.
• Experience with reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces, conversions, and workflows.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and translate them into robust, maintainable SAP solutions.
• Experience working with SAP functional consultants and cross-functional technical teams.
• Understanding of SAP transport processes, development standards, and technical documentation; strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good spoken and written English, ability to work independently, and ability to manage tasks effectively in a project environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP integration technologies and enterprise integration platforms.
• Knowledge of IDocs and other SAP integration mechanisms.
• Experience with REST APIs in addition to SOAP Web Services.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and ABAP for SAP HANA.
• Knowledge of ABAP Objects, OOP principles, and modern ABAP development practices.
• Experience with SAP ERP integration projects involving external business applications and international or client-facing consulting environments.
