SAP ABAP Software Developer

Location: Lansing, Michigan, United States; hybrid work may be available up to 3 days per week from home after initial in-person training, but the ability to work in the Lansing office is required.

What you will do

• Develop, maintain, test, analyze, and support software applications for new and existing systems.
• Work with the ABAP programming language and SAP development environment.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and brainstorming sessions.
• Create program and system documentation.
• Analyze and fix software errors in a timely and accurate manner.
• Consult with users, architects, project leaders, and management to resolve problems and recommend alternatives.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of ABAP programming and the SAP development environment.
• Initiative and aptitude for software development.
• Ability to learn and effectively use the tools and software development techniques adopted within the IT Division.
• Ability to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, management information systems, mathematics, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Eclipse ADT, ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model, Core Data Services, and OData.
• Exposure to Reports, Forms, Classic Dynpro, SAP Fiori, and table development.
