Forward Deployed Engineer II (AI)

Location: Remote - US; 25–30% combined travel and in-office time.

Salary: $160,000–$180,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Design and run demos, proofs of concept, and trials using customer data; define success criteria and deliver the technical win.
• Build agents, tools, and integrations on hirify.global’s agentic platform and take deployments from trial to production.
• Ship production Python, SQL, and integrations into customer persistence layers and analytics stacks.
• Act as the primary technical authority for accounts and brief executives, analysts, and mission owners on outcomes.
• Assess bespoke versus reusable capabilities, document platform gaps, and drive improvements into the roadmap.
• Set delivery standards and review work for other engineers on assigned accounts.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a client-facing technical role, such as forward deployed engineering, sales engineering, or technical consulting, and 7–8+ total years in software engineering and/or solutions consulting.
• Experience owning strategic deployments end to end, from technical win through production.
• Production Python, including Pandas and the data manipulation ecosystem; deep SQL experience; and hands-on REST API integration and reasoning.
• Experience building and deploying on AWS, GCP, or Azure using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience across multiple technology stacks, coding languages, frameworks, and systems.
• Daily use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude, or similar.
• Clear executive communication with engineers, analysts, and senior leaders.
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems, work in new environments, and learn technologies quickly.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience building agentic or LLM systems, including orchestration, tool use, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Experience with sovereign, air-gapped, or government cloud deployments.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, Airflow, or Prefect.
• Experience with graph data technologies and query languages.
• Exposure to ML, NLP, or entity resolution.
• Experience in AML and financial crime, supply chain risk, or national security.
