Forward Deployment Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote; limited to candidates located in AZ, CA, CO, GA, ID, IL, KS, MA, MD, NJ, NY, OR, PA, RI, TX, WA, or Canada.

Base salary: $135,000–$160,000 per year. Variable compensation: $15,000–$20,000, paid quarterly, based on agreed upon projects and Net Revenue Retention.

What you will do

• Own customer implementations from the first conversation through go-live, including plans, timelines, and communication with business and technical stakeholders.
• Design data integrations using real-time APIs, batch files, or core banking extracts, from schema mapping and historical backfill through validated production data.
• Build, test, and tune fraud and AML programs, including rules, screening, customer risk ratings, AI Agents, and analyst case workflows.
• Train customer teams and transition live customers to Customer Success.
• Create repeatable implementation playbooks and share cross-customer patterns with Product and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in implementation, solutions engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or forward-deployed engineering for a B2B SaaS product; fintech, regtech, or financial crime experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Postman, SQL and relational databases, ETL pipelines, and at least one programming language such as Python or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Ability to design integrations end to end and debug integration issues.
• Ability to map customer file layouts or schemas, identify missing data, and communicate required changes to technical resources.
• Ability to convert fraud or BSA patterns into detection rules and test them against real data.
• Experience configuring or building LLM-based workflows or agents, writing their instructions, testing outputs, and assessing production readiness.
• Ability to manage several implementations against committed dates, adapt to changing priorities or requirements, and raise delivery risks with recovery plans.
• Clear communication with compliance, data engineering, business, and technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with core banking data from providers such as FIS, Fiserv, or Jack Henry.
• Experience in fintech, regtech, or financial crime.
