Category Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Easton, Pennsylvania, United States; on-site at hirify.global's World Headquarters. Willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

What you will do

• Manage category business plans, global market and pricing analysis, procurement support, and strategic category objectives.
• Develop and execute global category strategies covering cost savings, risk mitigation, service-level agreements, pricing, quality, intellectual property, tool ownership, exclusivity, and inventory.
• Research market conditions, technology roadmaps, benchmarks, and cost drivers; maintain should-cost models and share market intelligence with stakeholders.
• Manage assigned commodities and finished products across multiple manufacturing locations, forming cross-functional teams to improve cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Analyze spend and market trends, consolidate spend, identify global suppliers, and deliver 5% year-over-year net cost reductions.
• Manage supplier relationships and performance, negotiate strategic contracts, and support global NPI sourcing and supplier qualification programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management from an accredited college or university.
• 4+ years of relevant, progressive experience in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or equivalent.
• Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes and tools in a global supply chain and multi-plant manufacturing environment.
• Track record of significant cost reductions and service-level improvements.
• Expertise negotiating long-term contracts with safeguards against identified risks.
• Ability to identify key performance measures, evaluate alternatives, build and lead teams, and achieve cross-functional consensus.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills using contemporary tools and methods.
• Ability to work with stakeholders across multiple global locations and organizational levels.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer-sponsored immigration support.
