Buyer (Supply Chain)

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, United States, or Duncansville, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite role.

hirify.global is a global technology company whose Gilbarco Veeder-Root business develops integrated solutions for retail and commercial fueling operations, including fuel dispensers, tank gauges, and fleet management systems.

What you will do

• Act as the primary interface between Gilbarco, its customers, and suppliers on product quality, delivery performance, and company expectations.
• Manage supplier selection and performance to improve quality, delivery, cost, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with Engineering on change notices and supplier transitions while minimizing working-capital impact.
• Benchmark market conditions, forecast commodity cost drivers, and implement savings projects through PPV and VAVE initiatives.
• Negotiate supplier agreements and implement programs such as Vendor-Managed Inventory.
• Support Focused Factories, Material Planners, and corporate commodity teams to maintain material flow and consolidate the supply base.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two or more years of purchasing experience preferred.
• Presentation skills and the ability to communicate with senior management internally and externally.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Demonstrated effectiveness as a team leader and team member.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to analyze and report key measures.
