Indirect Procurement Manager (North America)

Location: Charlotte, NC; hybrid role based in the United States. Fully remote candidates based in the US eastern time zone may also be considered. Must be living in and legally authorized to work in the United States; domestic and periodic international travel is required.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy North America category strategies aligned with global strategies across MRO, Facilities Services, Travel, HR/Personnel, Marketing & Communications, and Professional Services.
• Lead cross-functional category teams, supply market analysis, supplier segmentation, competitive sourcing events, e-auctions, should-cost analysis, and total-cost modeling.
• Deliver annual cost reduction and cost avoidance targets, validate savings with Finance, and reduce total cost of ownership through specification, demand, logistics, inventory, and commercial-term improvements.
• Manage supplier consolidation, contracts, supplier KPIs and SLAs, business reviews, corrective actions, quality, HSE, sustainability, and Supplier Code of Conduct coverage.
• Improve source-to-contract and purchase-to-pay processes, including PO coverage, catalogs, punch-outs, guided buying, master data, analytics, and AI-enabled procurement tools.
• Partner with site leadership, HR, Finance, HSE, Legal, IT, Marketing, suppliers, and global category teams while administering regional procurement systems and monitoring order execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive strategic and tactical sourcing experience, including at least 5 years in indirect procurement.
• Quantifiable experience managing at least the specified indirect procurement categories—MRO, Facilities Services, Travel, HR/Personnel, Marketing & Communications, and Professional Services—with strategy ownership and supplier consolidation in each.
• Multi-category breadth and category management maturity, combining strategic category ownership with hands-on tactical procurement.
• Proven TCO reduction and validated cost savings delivery in a multi-site North American environment, including supplier-count reduction and tail-spend management without service disruption.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills across services and goods, including MSAs, SOWs, SLAs, and rate cards.
• Working knowledge of P2P/S2C systems such as Basware, SAP, Coupa, Ariba, or equivalent, plus spend analytics tools.
• Advanced Excel-based cost modeling and spend analysis skills, project management experience across multi-workstream sourcing programs, and the ability to lead supplier relationships and challenge internal demand.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States and availability for required travel.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineered-products environments.
• Experience in a global matrix organization with regional execution accountability.
• Contingent workforce program experience, including MSP/VMS implementation or governance.
• Familiarity with facilities energy and utility procurement in deregulated U.S. markets.
• Professional certification such as CPSM, CPSD, or C.P.M.
• Advanced degree such as an MBA or MS in Supply Chain.
