Indirect Procurement Manager, North America

Location: Charlotte, NC, United States; hybrid role or fully remote from the US eastern time zone. Travel to North American manufacturing and office sites, supplier facilities, and occasional international meetings is required. Applicants must be living in and legally authorized to work in the United States. International relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy North American indirect procurement strategies aligned with global category strategies across MRO, facilities services, travel, HR/personnel, marketing and communications, and professional services.
• Lead market analysis, supplier segmentation, competitive bidding, e-auctions, should-cost analysis, and total-cost modeling.
• Deliver measurable cost reduction, cost avoidance, TCO improvements, and supplier-base consolidation targets.
• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle and lead supplier performance reviews, corrective actions, quality, HSE, sustainability, and Supplier Code of Conduct initiatives.
• Improve source-to-contract and purchase-to-pay processes, including PO coverage, catalogs, guided buying, master data, analytics, and AI-enabled procurement tools.
• Partner with site leadership, HR, Finance, HSE, Legal, IT, Marketing, suppliers, and global category teams to align requirements and execute sourcing programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance, or a related field.
• At least 7 years of progressive strategic and tactical sourcing experience, including 5 or more years in indirect procurement.
• Quantifiable category management experience covering at least two specified indirect procurement categories, with ownership of strategy, sourcing, negotiation, and supplier performance.
• Experience delivering TCO reduction, validated savings, supplier-count reduction, and tail-spend management in a multi-site North American environment.
• Strong negotiation, contract management, analytical, Excel-based cost modeling, project management, and stakeholder management skills; familiarity with P2P/S2C systems such as SAP, Coupa, Ariba, or equivalent.
• Must be living in and legally authorized to work in the United States; able to travel domestically as required.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or engineered-products environments.
• Experience in a global matrix organization, contingent workforce programs, or facilities energy and utility procurement.
• CPSM, CPSD, C.P.M., MBA, or MS in Supply Chain.
