Lead, Technical Program Manager (NPI/CMP)

Location: Aurora, IL or Fremont, CA; remote work may be considered in other locations.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, with actual pay dependent on overall qualifications; annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Lead a portfolio of strategic, business-critical New Product Introduction (NPI) programs through execution and commercialization.
• Drive prioritization, KPI visibility, risk management, resource alignment, and portfolio-level recommendations.
• Partner with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Business, customer-facing teams, and functional leaders.
• Improve NPI processes, tools, governance, execution speed, resource efficiency, and organizational effectiveness.
• Establish program management best practices, coach teams, and support consistent project management excellence.
• Develop customer communications that balance requirements, product positioning, and protection of proprietary information.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline is required. An advanced degree is preferred.
• 5+ years of experience leading new product development, commercialization, or technical programs within semiconductor fabrication consumables or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor fabrication processes related to chemical mechanical planarization (CMP), including CMP-related chemistry, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, business-critical NPI programs from concept through commercialization while achieving customer, quality, schedule, and business objectives.
• Advanced program and portfolio management skills, including prioritization, risk management, stakeholder alignment, conflict resolution, governance, and executive communication.
• Strong knowledge of stage-gate NPI processes and experience leading cross-functional gate reviews, driving decisions, and ensuring commercialization readiness.
• Ability to influence decisions and build alignment across functions, organizational levels, and geographies without direct authority.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for communication with technical teams, business leaders, customer-facing organizations, and executive stakeholders.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of experience in a CMP-related role.
• PMP certification.
• Advanced degree in a relevant discipline.
