Senior Network Engineer (Arista/EVPN)

A global, high-performance financial services organisation operating network infrastructure across data centres, trading environments, and enterprise locations.

What you will do

• Design and implement data centre and enterprise network solutions, including new builds, refreshes, and migrations.
• Deliver network projects end to end, covering HLD/LLD documentation, building, testing, cutover, and operational handover.
• Turn up and support third-party CDN, extranet, and VPN connectivity.
• Lead routing and switching design across Juniper, Arista, and Cisco platforms using BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, redistribution, and filtering policies.
• Design, build, and support EVPN/VXLAN fabrics on Arista EOS; maintain infrastructure hygiene through upgrades, EOL replacements, audits, and standards adherence.
• Act as the senior escalation point for complex incidents, driving triage, RCA, permanent fixes, automation, observability improvements, AI-enabled troubleshooting, documentation, cross-region handovers, and mentoring.

Requirements

• CCNP Routing & Switching or equivalent capability.
• JNCIP-Junos or equivalent capability.
• Foundational wireless certification.
• Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong routing and switching design experience across Junos, Arista EOS, and Cisco IOS, including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing EVPN/VXLAN on Arista.
• Working knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls and F5 load balancers.
• Production network automation and scripting experience with Python and Ansible.
• Experience leading incidents, RCA, remediation, mentoring engineers, and producing clear technical documentation.
