Middle Java Software Engineer (On-call Support)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications supporting the patent grant process.
• Deliver scalable and maintainable software using Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Security.
• Analyze functional and technical requirements and translate them into reliable technical solutions.
• Work with SQL databases and contribute to cloud-native applications in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes using GitHub and ArgoCD, code reviews, and continuous improvement.
• Investigate production incidents using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, and PagerDuty, and participate in a paid 24/7 support rotation.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java and enterprise application development.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications using object-oriented programming principles and clean coding practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and ownership of technical solutions.
• Willingness to participate in a paid 24/7 support rotation.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the Spring Framework, SQL, and modern software development practices.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and ArgoCD, and monitoring tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/Loki, and PagerDuty.
