Medior Java Developer

Location: Budapest, Hungary; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Design and develop systems used in the Hungarian and international markets.
• Enhance existing applications and develop and test new functionalities.
• Contribute to IT projects throughout the full lifecycle, from planning through implementation.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix software defects.
• Participate in database design and development.
• Collaborate with team members in an agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

• At least 2–3 years of professional experience in Java development.
• Hands-on knowledge of Java 21+, Spring Boot, SQL, Maven, REST APIs, JSON, Git, and Docker and/or Podman.
• Strong analytical and structured thinking skills, with the ability to solve problems independently.
• Attention to detail and a precise approach to work.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of English.

Nice to have

• Application design and development experience in a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience developing high-load, high-performance systems.
• Familiarity with Oracle databases, SonarQube, Redis, and Kubernetes.
