Application Engineer (Machine Vision)

Location: Remote - NY; up to 70% travel within the USA, with possible EMEA travel. A valid US driver's license is required.

What you will do

• Drive revenue growth by partnering with Sales and advising new and existing customers on solution-oriented product offerings.
• Lead technology evaluations, customer demonstrations, onsite proof-of-concepts, integrations, start-ups, and technical implementation support.
• Capture customer technical requirements, act as the technical liaison and voice of the customer, and recommend best practices.
• Develop product cost and engineering effort estimates for proposals and provide opportunity updates to management.
• Support integration of hirify.global products with PLCs, PCs, and controllers; prototype applications and products.
• Create technical documentation and present products at customer meetings, trade shows, seminars, and other field events.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in customer-facing roles at a technology company.
• Associate degree at minimum in electrical, computer, or software engineering, or relevant work experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving ability, customer-centric focus, listening skills, and customer communication skills.
• Familiarity with engineering and operations processes, including BOM structures, project estimation, and ECO procedures.
• Familiarity with customer management tools such as Salesforce.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent English.
• Valid US driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python, C++, C#, or Java.
• Knowledge of Machine Vision, Robotics, AI, or Deep Learning.
• Bachelor's degree in electrical, computer, or software engineering.
