IT Category Manager (IT Sourcing)

Location: Nootdorp, Netherlands, with the opportunity to work from home in accordance with the manager and corporate policies.

What you will do

• Define and execute the global IT sourcing and vendor management strategy with the CIO and IT leadership.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including supplier selection, tendering, RFPs, negotiations, contracting, renewals, and supplier performance management.
• Partner with IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and business stakeholders to prioritize demand, optimize value, standardize ways of working, and improve spend visibility.
• Drive supplier rationalization, cost optimization, risk management, compliance, and dispute resolution.
• Provide commercial, contractual, and market insights for strategic IT investment decisions.
• Develop sourcing methodologies, governance frameworks, and tools while collaborating with IT Asset Management, Architecture, Cyber Security, and Data Integrity teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT sourcing, procurement, contracting, and supplier management within complex international environments.
• A relevant Bachelor’s degree and strong IT sourcing experience with global suppliers and partners.
• Experience leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations, and transformation initiatives delivering measurable business value and cost savings.
• Strong commercial acumen and expertise in complex contracts, supplier performance, and risk exposure.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, build relationships across a matrix organization, and advise on sourcing and commercial matters.
• Experience aligning sourcing strategies with business and IT objectives and supporting transformation programs.
• Experience improving sourcing processes, increasing spend visibility, standardizing ways of working, and driving governance and operational excellence.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills across diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
• Fluent English.
