Software Engineer, Technology Risk (Security Infrastructure)

Location: New York, United States; hybrid work with flexible in-office days.

Salary: $165,000–$300,000 base pay annually, plus potential discretionary bonus and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and long-term evolution of the configuration management database’s proprietary graph data model.
• Improve performance and reliability across Web UI, REST, SPARQL recursive graph traversal, and Python/Java client query interfaces.
• Own the full development lifecycle, including design, testing, continuous deployment, productionization, and observability.
• Mentor a small engineering team and partner with data owners to maintain accurate entity data.
• Develop scalable agentic permissions management solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including hands-on ownership of a data-modeling-heavy or graph-backed production service.
• Proficiency in SQL and large-scale data management.
• Experience designing and operating large-scale REST APIs.
• Track record of leading technical design for foundational infrastructure systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in identity and access management systems, including groups, transitive membership, authorization, and entitlements.
• Experience safely exposing internal systems to LLM or agent tooling, such as MCP servers.
