Corporate Enterprise Network (WAN): Network Engineer - Senior

Location: Daily work from customer and/or contractor facilities, within commuting distance of Fort Belvoir, VA; Columbus, OH; Dayton, OH; New Cumberland, PA; Ogden, UT; Philadelphia, PA; Richmond, VA; Anniston, AL; San Diego, CA; Fort Bragg, NC; Robins AFB, GA; or Tobyhanna, PA. Travel of up to approximately 40% may be required, both CONUS and OCONUS.

Salary: $110,000+ annually.

What you will do

• Design, configure, install, test, maintain, and modernize enterprise WAN routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
• Support classified and unclassified WAN connectivity, including DISN, NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and other DoD networks.
• Configure and troubleshoot BGP, OSPF, MPLS, multicast, QoS, IPv4/IPv6, Cisco platforms, and Check Point firewalls.
• Perform Tier III/IV troubleshooting, root cause analysis, service restoration, capacity and performance evaluation, and 24x7x365 on-call support as required.
• Conduct site surveys, infrastructure assessments, installation planning, DISA circuit provisioning, laboratory testing, interoperability validation, and technology evaluations.
• Develop engineering change requests, implementation and test plans, rollback procedures, network diagrams, and technical support for WAN management, NOC, government, contractor, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• Five years of progressive IT experience, including at least two projects involving Network and Telecommunications Services and Network Management; at least one qualifying project must have occurred within the previous three years.
• U.S. citizenship.
• DoD Top Secret clearance or Secret clearance with a favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.
• High School Diploma.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level III baseline certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional – Enterprise (CCNP-E).
• Ability to work daily from customer and/or contractor facilities as needed and live within commuting distance of one of the listed locations.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 40% CONUS and OCONUS for network installation or troubleshooting.
• Ability to work from a computer for extended periods and from offices, comm closets, warehouses, and other network deployment and sustainment environments.

Nice to have

• Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) or higher; if not attained before hire, it must be obtained after hire.
• AWS Cloud Practitioner.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals.
• CompTIA Cloud+.
