IT Support Intern

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; onsite internship at the hirify.global office in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost. Candidates must be enrolled as students at a Dutch educational institution for the duration of the internship, obtain written permission before the start date, and hold a valid residence permit for study purposes covering the internship period.

Monthly internship allowance: €500. Commuting reimbursement: 100% of public transport costs or €0.21 per kilometre when travelling by car, bike, or scooter.

What you will do

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues through Jira, phone, email, and in-person support.
• Support end users with MS Office, Apple devices, and internal tools.
• Document technical issues and solutions in the IT support ticketing system.
• Maintain IT assets and inventory, and support security initiatives including system updates, antivirus checks, and user access management.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
• Familiarity with Windows and macOS.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Enrollment at a Dutch educational institution throughout the internship, written permission before the start date, and a valid residence permit for study purposes covering the internship period.

Nice to have

• Experience with IT support tools and ticketing systems.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud computing platforms.
• Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
